Matt Walsh, the former NE Patriots video assistant from 1999 to 2003, is looking to strike a deal with NFL investigators and let them in on his knowledge of the Spygate situation. He had been seeking indemnity from the league against legal or financial damages from the investigations by the NFL and Senator Arlen Specter’s probe. Walsh’s interview can prove damaging for Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, who has maintained that there was no cheating involved in the tactics, including and alleged video taping of the St. Louis Rams’ final walkthrough right before SB XXXVI. Walsh was fired by New England and is presently a golf pro in Hawaii.
